Lilith, mother of demons

It's Mother's Day, so here's Lilith, mother of demons. According to Jewish mythology, Lilith was created in the same way as Adam and was his first wife. Perhaps because she was created equal, she refused to submit to Adam and walked out of Eden. (which is why God created Eve from Adam's rib so she'd be submissive) Then Lilith mated with Samael the fallen angel, or other demons, and gave birth to a whole race of demons which threaten Adam's children. Oh, and Lilith was also known to kill babies and children, so Jewish mothers will use Lilith as a scare-tactic for making children behave: "If you don't shush and go to sleep, Lilith will gobble you up!"
